From the wintery wonderland in Finland to the majestic volcanoes of New Zealand, we will be taking twenty very individual and stunningly beautiful train journeys. On each one we’ll meet the people who work and live along these special rail lines in many different countries –Including South Africa, Mexico, Scotland, France, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. We’ll explore the natural wonders along the route, meet the engineers who keep the trains running, and historians who reveal the challenges the builders faced when constructing these magnificent feats of engineering. These are no ordinary train trips, these are some of the most scenic rail journeys in the World!
